Hi Everyone,

Our spring season has finally sizzled out – new Huntsman Sue has done a great job, especially given the weather and the restrictions on our country because of crops, etc. Thanks to Jill and others for all the support; and THANKS to all for the really outstanding work days – it’s wonderful to see such renewed enthusiaum.

The really big news is the Board’s appointment of a new joint master, Bob Allum. Bob has been an active OVH rider for may years, has served as a board member, and is sure to be a big boost to the Club. Congratulations Bob, and I’m sure you will have full support from our truly terrific membership.

I want to thank some folks who really have helped us mightily during the last couple of months – especially Art Melbourne who with lots of help from wife Janine, Rick and Angie Sneddon, Pete and Sylvia Kornherr and several regular OVH members (notably big Bob, Pete Leach, Doris and Jill Bryant) completely renovated the club house apartment. Thanks to Joan Gauer for supplying a new stove for the apartment. The apartment looks super – where do these people come from! Of course thanks to all those I’ve overlooked. Big Thanks to Gary Hobin for lawn mower and fencing help.

Speaking of Gary - if you want to attend the Golf and/or Steak Night August 6th- call now (either Gary or Bob Sulpher).

As per my announcement of stepping down as MFH at the AGM last February, this will be my last newsletter. I want to Thank all of the members, landowners, and friends who have supported me so generously over the past eight years. I look forward to many more years with the OVH and will always be grateful for the wonderful years I’ve had as a Master; Thank You! May you all enjoy many more years with the OVH.
